The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Apostolate Center (CGSAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Pennsylvania. Our purpose is to form, educate, and support catechists in the “Catechesis of the Good Shepherd” method. This method of religious education and formation is based on the development and use of “sacred spaces,” called atria, for children up to twelve (12) years of age.
The CGS Center develops and provides “sacred spaces” for the education of children, and the training of adult catechists, in the “Catechesis of the Good Shepherd” method in the Catholic tradition.
We do this by:
- Forming, educating, and supporting catechists,
- Providing and demonstrating how to set up a working atria (prepared environments) for children in the community at all four levels, through twelve (12) years of age.
- Nurturing relationships among catechists, families, and faith-based leaders.
